Cherry Chocolates

Saved In Chocolate Candy Recipes

This is a fun activity for a party. Use your imagination and you can dip all kinds of nuts, caramels, candied fruit pieces, pretzels, etc.

1 cube butter or margarine
2 lb. powdered sugar
1 can Eagle Brand condensed milk
1-12 oz. package chocolate chips
1/4-1/2 block paraffin
maraschino cherries

Drain cherries until very dry. Sift sugar into a large bowl, add butter and milk. Mix well – knead with hands if necessary. Pat candy around cherries covering completely. Let sit and dry slightly so there is a thin dry outer coating. melt chocolate chips in double boiler and shave paraggin into chocolate and mix. Stick a toothpick into cherry center and dip in chocolate. Set on wax paper or in candy cups. Tough up tops with chocolate swirl.
