Conga Cookies
A cookie with a name to catch the imagination of children. This one caught my eye however, because it is so easy to put together. A few minutes and its in the oven. Besides, it’s also yummy good!
- 3/4 cup margarine or butter
- 2-1/4 cups brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2-3/4 cups flour
- 2-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2-1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1-6 oz. package chocolate chips
Melt margarine or butter in a saucepan just until melted. Don’t let it sizzle. Add sugar and mix right in the pan. Cool, stir eggs in one at a time. Then stir in the rest of the ingredients. Pour into a 9″ x 13″ pan and bake 350F for 25-30 minutes. Cool, cut into squares.
